Ragusa leans on a narrow spur of the Iblean mountains, between deep valleys and ravines. It is divided into two parts: Ragusa alta of clear seventeenth century style and Ragusa bassa, not much re-structured, retains the medieval style of its birth and the seventeenth century baroque architecture of its re-building after the destruction. With many scenic nooks, in every street the baroque style holds a strong sway on the eye.
In the middle of Ibla bassa ,after having admired the magnificent church of San Giorgio with its vibrant architecture reaching towards the sky, descend towards the public gardens. On the way to the left is this restaurant cradled in the old ground floor of a palace that was restored some years ago. The place is pleasing and the efficient service invites you to regional cooking of full and refined flavours. Good desserts.
